Gas price vs Electric bike!

So at some point I guess we have to share our opinion and question the rising cost of petrol and consider making the switch to an Electric bike or a EV vehicle.
Let's stick with the more affordable option for now.
With the annual average fuel cost currently at $2700 per vehicle in New Zealand
Lets us compare this with an E- bike starting from $1699 making the switch can be most cost effective with added health benefits and savings on the wallet. This is also saving our little planet, active climate change!
It is advised that you service an electric bike 6 monthly or annually.
You won't have the added cost of wofs, rego, insurance etc. The cost of charging an electric bike is equivalent to around 20c per 100km.
You try get that milage out of
a petrol or diesel powered car!
It's shocking to know that most short car journeys in New Zealand are under 6km.
A distance that easily achieved with the aid of an E- bike. Most cities around New Zealand are embracing cycling infrastructure and are adapting to making our cities greener and safer. Christchurch is certainly one of those cities.
